Almost everything we make is manufactured to specific customer requirements. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities produce rolled aluminium for everything from highly designed cladding for building facades to automotive body sheet.

The history of ALVANCE Aluminium Duffel dates back to 1946, when Lucien Féron decided to start an aluminium processing plant, called SIDAL (Société Industrielle de l’Aluminium). In 1970, Dutch steel and aluminium group Hoogovens Groep acquired a minority stake in SIDAL. This was followed by a full takeover by Koninklijke Hoogovens NV in 1983. In order to enable further growth, in 1999 the company merged with British Steel. Due to the fact that this new group was focusing on the production of both steel and aluminium, the name was changed to Corus. In March 2006, the aluminium division of Corus was acquired by Aleris. In September 2020, the plant is acquired by ALVANCE Aluminium group, part of GFG Alliance.

Today, the plant employs around 1.000 people and annually produces 200.000 tons of high-value aluminium rolled products.
